The Chalcedon Foundation

The Chalcedon Foundation® is a Christian education organization devoted to the research, publishing, and promotion of Christian Reconstruction. We believe that the Christian faith is applicable to every area of life and thought and that all things are to be “reconstructed” according to God’s revealed will in Scripture.

Founded in 1965 by R.J. Rushdoony, the Chalcedon Foundation® is a 501(c)(3) non-profit named after the great ecclesiastical Council of Chalcedon (A.D. 451) which defined Jesus Christ as both truly God and truly man. Rushdoony recognized this crucial definition of the mystery of Christ’s incarnation as the limiting factor to all human authorities and institutions. In Matthew 28:18, the resurrected Christ declared, “All power [authority] is given unto me in heaven and earth,” which means no person or human institution can claim ultimate authority in history.

The Reconstructionist Radio Network

Reconstructionist Radio was created out of a desire to spread the truths of Christian Reconstruction to the next generation of Christians. The hundreds of books that have been written by Dr. Gary NorthR.J. Rushdoony, and others in the past 50 years have been of great help to the body of Christ and His Kingdom. I have been one of those Christians who has been blessed by these writings.

As a professional truck driver I spend many hours on the road every week and I would download these books into an app on my phone and listen to a robotic voice read them back to me. One day the thought came to me: “Why not start a group of volunteer narrators to produce free audio books and have them available for free just as the actual books are available for free on pdf?” This would give a whole other way for these important writings to be consumed and their Biblical teachings to be practiced in every area of life.

I reached out to Dr. Gary North and the Chalcedon Foundation (via Martin Selbrede) and both of these men were extremely gracious to allow Reconstructionist Radio to produce audio books of their libraries. I then started to recruit a team of volunteer narrators and we now have over 20 men and women on the Reconstructionist Radio narration team. None of us are professionals, and none of us are paid, but we all seek to glorify God and see the Kingdom of our great King Jesus Christ advance on earth as it is in heaven. We hope these audio resources are a blessing to you.

Mid-Atlantic Reformation Society

We are a group of Christians who recognize that God, in His love, mercy, and infinite wisdom has not only provided the means of forgiveness through His Son Jesus Christ, but has also provided, in the Old and New Testaments, all necessary directions and instructions for a just, happy, and productive society.

These instructions apply to all God-ordained spheres of government, namely self-government, family government, church government, and civil government.

Our goal is to promote these principles. We believe that the modern church, for generations, has increasingly failed to apply God’s Word to all of life, having a focus that is self-centered and incapable of affecting the societal institutions that crumble around us.

Our work is dedicated to turning the ship, for the very positive benefit of our families, churches, communities, and nation, to the honor of the King of Kings, Jesus Christ.

We receive no funding from any ecclesiastical or political institutions.

Deconstructing the Coliseum
“Deconstructing the Coliseum’s goal: civil government school system ABOLITION.”

Deconstructing the Coliseum exists for God’s glory. We glorify God by promoting the family government’s exclusive jurisdiction (lawful authority) over education, to the civil government’s exclusion. In that regard Deconstructing the Coliseum promotes abolishing the largest church in America, the civil government school system. Thus DtC’s mission is proper, as most Christians erroneously frame the education issue by focusing on delegation (that is, Should I send my child to the civil government school system?) rather than jurisdiction (that is, Should there even be a civil government school system?). Delegation assumes a false premise: the civil government school system’s existence. That is a biblical mistake that Deconstructing the Coliseum is in the business of correcting. Moreover, when humanists promote slavery to sin using education as the vehicle, Christians tend to counter with more humanism (vouchers, school choice, and so on). We must not counter humanism with humanism; we must counter humanism with Christianity. Deconstructing the Coliseum counters humanism with Christianity: civil government school system abolition.
